Book 1 – ELVES
The Fairy Folk

(First in a series of nine books)

A few years ago I met Prince Charles by accident and he was talking about there being no meaning to children’s books and that there is nothing tactile anymore to teach or where the meaning of life, lessons and morality can be learned through a book as well as on a screen . I thought about this and came up with nine children’s books, some funny, some dark, all relating to lessons of life and death for children on their growth path will one day face.

In these books we explore fairy folk races, delivering stories to make a child and the parent think. I will go into the emotive subjects of food, self esteem, death, afterlife and the glory of life itself and the beauty of nature. The titles will be introduced by my cartoon invention and friend Rupert the Ravenheart, an assisted guide to Odin and his Vikings.

Retired Rupert takes us on a tour of each book the first being the romantic tale of The Elves and the poignant look at nature and the human world we live in.

Each book will have one difficult word to analyse. In this case it is Hierarchy which is something that can be discussed and explained between the child and parent.

Finally Rupert and his life story is the last of the books. I would like to see Rupert in a three dimensional form through animation, DVD or a toy.
